This standard applies to pin and sleeve type plugs, receptacles, power inlets, and connectors, rated up to 800 amperes and up to 600 volts ac or dc, and which may include up to eight pilot contacts. These devices are intended to provide power from branch circuits, or are for direct connection to the branch circuit in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, the National Electrical Code (NEC),ANSI/NFPA 70, and the Mexican Electrical Code, NOM 001 SEDE, using copper conductors, for use in either indoor or outdoor nonhazardous locations. In Canada, the terminals of a device intended to accommodate aluminum conductors also comply with CSA C22.2 No. 65.
These requirements cover low-voltage ac power circuit breakers as follows: a) Stationary-mounted or draw out-mounted types, b) 2-pole, 3-pole, and 4-pole constructions, c) Manually operated or power operated, and) With or without electromechanical or solid-state type trip device. These requirements cover nonmetallic outlet boxes, conduit bodies, flush-device boxes, extension rings, covers, floor boxes, floor nozzles, and concrete boxes to be employed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 701.2 These requirements do not cover boxes and covers for use in hazardous locations as defined in the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70.1.3 These requirements do not cover cabinets and cutout boxes.
This CARICOM Regional Standard specifies requirements and methods of test for pasta products made from semolina, durum flour, wheat flour, farina flour or any suitable wheat flour. This standard is applicable to pasta classified as macaroni, spaghetti, vermicelli, noodles and egg noodles. This standard also applies to pasta products used in preparing other foods or included in packages of ingredients that are prepared for retail sale. EXAMPLE Pasta used in canned soups, soup mixes, macaroni and cheese dinners. This CARICOM Regional Standard is not applicable to Asian/Oriental style noodles including chowmein or chaomein and to other food in forms resembling pasta products made from rice, beans or cereals other than wheat.
These requirements cover wire binding screw terminals of receptacles and switches rated 15 or 20 A intended for use with solid conductor aluminum building wire, and that require direct connection of wiring conductor(s) to the binding head screw terminal(s) prior to insertion of the device in an outlet box.1.2 These performance requirements for wire binding screw terminals are in addition to the requirements for the products covered by the Standard for Attachment Plugs and Receptacles, UL 498, and the Standard for General-Use Snap Switches, UL 20.
