This standard specifies composition, production, processing and handling of raw milk, heat treated liquid milk and factory milk for human consumption.
This Code of Practice gives guidelines for the preparation, processing and packaging of frozen fruit pulps and purées for use in the manufacture of fruit juices and nectars within the CARICOM region. This Code of Practice is applicable to pulps and purées obtained from edible fruits. It describes the requirements for pulps and purées and the methods of analysis to be used.
This standard applies to commercial varieties of limes grown from citrus aurantifolia to be supplied fresh to the consumer, after preparation and packaging. Limes for industrial processing are excluded.
This standard applies to Ginger, Zingiber officinale to be supplied fresh to the consumer. This standard excludes products for industrial processing.
This standard specifies requirements for the information to be included on labels of goods pre-packaged for sale, the method of display of such information, and where necessary, the wording and units of measurements to be used. This standard does not apply to the following: a) Goods that are sold unpackaged, or in an open or uncovered package; b) Goods that are weighed, measured or counted in the presence of the purchaser with or without being packaged. c) Goods in packages not intended for retail sale; d) Goods or classes of goods where different or additional information is prescribed by any CARICOM Regional Standard. e) Goods intended for export only which comply with the requirements of standards or laws on labelling enforced in the country to which they are being exported; f) Gift-wrapped goods; g) Markings on shipping containers; and h) Goods in commercial quantities that are not for retail sale.
This standard specifies the information, the method of display of such information, the wording and presentation of health warnings to be included on the labels of retail packages of tobacco products intended to be sold in Guyana. 1.2 This standard applies to the labelling of individual packages and cartons of tobacco products intended for retail sale in Guyana. 1.3 This standard does not apply to the labelling of cases of such individual packages or cartons, irrespective of sizes, provided the cases are not displayed or used at the point of sale. 1.4 All manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers and other entities engaged in the production and/or trade of tobacco products within Guyana shall comply with all the requirements of this standard
This standard specifies the information, the method of display of such information, and the wording and presentation of a health warning to be included on the labels of retail packages of cigarettes intended to be sold in Guyana. This standard applies to the labelling of all individual packs of cigarettes intended for retail sale in Guyana. This standard does not apply: (a) to the labelling of collective units of such individual packs, irrespective of sizes. (For example, a collective unit may be a carton containing ten packs, each of which contains twenty cigarettes); and (b) cigarettes not containing tobacco.

This standard specifies the labelling requirements for furniture, when offered for sale in Guyana, whether locally manufactured or imported. It shall be read in conjunction with the latest version of GYS 9-1, “Specification for labelling of commodities - Part 1: General principles”.
