Standards
This British Standard specifies requirements for the construction dimensions and mechanical and electrical properties of non- armoured polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated cables for operation at voltages up to and including 450 V a.c. to earth and 750 V a.c between conductors, intended for electric power lighting and internal wiring.
This stand prescribes the requirements for honey produced by the honeybees Apis mellifera and Meliponini sp. It specifies three grades of honey with requirements for production, handling, packaging, labelling, analytic sampling and testing of honey that is intended or offered for sale in the Caribbean Community. This standard takes into account the management of equipment and storage conditions of honey, and requirements for hygienic production that assures the safety of food for human consumption.
This document specifies requirements for a food safety management system [FSMS] to enable an organization that is directly or indirectly involved in the food chain.
a) to plan, implement, operate, maintain and update a FSMS providing products and services that are safe, in accordance with their intended use;
b)
to demonstrate compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory food safety requirements) to evaluate and assess mutually agreed customer food safety requirements and to demonstrate conformity with them;
d) to effectively communicate food safety issues to interested parties within the food chain;
e) to ensure that the organization conforms to its stated food safety policy;
f) to demonstrate conformity to relevant interested parties;
g) to seek certification or registration of its FSMS by an external organization, or make a self-assessment or self-declaration of conformity to this document.
This standard applies to the products known as achar, amchar and kuchela which are prepared from edible fruits such as green or unripe mangoes (Mangifera indica), golden apple (Pommecythere spp.), june plum (Spondias spp.), tamarind (Tamarindua indica) and chalta elephant fruit (Dillenia indica), as the predominant ingredients and blended with spices and additives prior to packaging
1.1 The requirements of this standard cover holders and connectors for electric lamps, including incandescent, fluorescent, and other electric-discharge-type lamps, rated as indicated in Clause 6, to be used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I, C22.1, and the National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70. 1.2 These requirements cover screw lampholders, including those intended to be mounted directly on an outlet-box, lampholders for special uses, lampholders for electric signs, and adapters that convert one lampholder size to another.
These requirements cover FITTINGS for use with cable and conduit intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I, CSA C22.1, and the Standard for Electrical Installations, NOM-001-SEDE. 1.2 These requirements cover CONDUIT LOCKNUTS, conduit BUSHINGS, metal stud BUSHINGS, CONDUIT BODIES, and entrance ELBOWS; FITTINGS for electrical metallic tubing, flexible metal conduit, intermediate metal conduit, liquid-tight flexible conduit, rigid metal conduit, and SERVICE-ENTRANCE HEADS; FITTINGS or box clamps referenced from other standards for armored cable, metal-clad cable, aluminum-sheathed cable, mineral-insulated cable, nonmetallic-sheathed cable, service-entrance cable, and tray cable, and submersible FITTINGS; FITTINGS for flexible cord, flexible nonmetallic and metallic tubing, INSULATING BUSHINGS, grips, reducing washers, and NIPPLES.
This standard specifies the requirements for cord sets and power-supply
cords employing molded-on or assembled-on fittings, rated 600 V maximum, and
intended for use in non-hazardous locations in accordance with the National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70. It also specifies the requirements for molded-on
general-use attachment plugs and cord connectors etc.
These requirements cover the shielded and no shielded medium-voltage power cables that are described in Tables 1.1 (single-conductor) and 1.2 (multiple-conductor). Multiple-conductor cables may include one or more individually jacketed non-conductive optical-fiber members. These electrical andhybrid electrical and optical-fiber cables are for use (optical and electrical functions associated in the case of a hybrid cable) in accordance with Article 328 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70.
This Standard specifies the requirements for single-conductor and multiple-conductor thermoset-insulated wires and cables rated 600 V, 1000 V, 2000 V, and 5000 V, for use in accordance with the rules of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70, in Guyana. See Annex A for the complete list of types and voltage ratings covered by this Standard and the specific electrical codes for which they are intended, and Annex B for a summary of construction and test requirements for these types. Table 1 provides a summary of the maximum conductor temperature, voltage ratings, and the number of insulated conductors for the types to which this Standard applies.
This Standard also specifies the requirements for submersible pump cables, with or without jackets, in Deep Well Submersible Water-Pump Cable, Section 7. No type-letter designations are assigned to these cables.
Products within this Standard might have applications not covered by the electrical codes listed in 1.1.
The requirements in this standard apply to a low-voltage landscape lighting system and components that consist of an isolating type power unit, low voltage cable or flexible cord, and luminaires. The equipment is intended to be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70,Article 411.1.1 revised February 24, 2014.
