Standards
This standard specifies the requirements for radio transmitters and receivers for the fixed and land mobile services in bands allocated within 27.41 to 960 MHz range.
This British Standard specifies requirements for the construction dimensions and mechanical and electrical properties of non- armoured polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated cables for operation at voltages up to and including 450 V a.c. to earth and 750 V a.c between conductors, intended for electric power lighting and internal wiring.
These requirements cover products which are molded of insulating material and are intended to cover the outlet slots of receptacles having 1-15R and 5-15R configurations in accordance with Wiring Devices-Dimensional Specifications, ANSI/NEMA WD6.1.2 These requirements do not cover insulating devices provided to cover the unused outlets of a multi-outlet cord connector employed on a general-use cord set. The requirements for these devices are contained in the Standard for Cord Sets and Power-Supply Cords, UL 817. 1.3 These requirements do not cover receptacle closures provided as part of a flush device cover plate. These devices are covered by the requirements in the Standard for Metallic Outlet Boxes, UL 514A, or in the Standard for Nonmetallic Outlet Boxes, Flush-Mounted Boxes, and Covers, UL 514C.
This standard specifies requirements for circular-cross-section seamless polypropylene (PP) pipes made from homopolymer polypropylene (PP-H), block copolymer polypropylene (PP-R) or random copolymer polypropylene with modified crystalline structure and elevated temperature resistance (PP-RCT).
This regional standard specifies requirements for high density polyethylene garbage badge which are normally used for the disposal of domestic and commercial waste. It includes requirements and test methods for impact resistance bag dimensions, burst resistance, heat seal integrity and leakage. This standard does not apply to bag intended for the disposal of industrial, biological or medical waste.
1.1 The requirements of this standard cover holders and connectors for electric lamps, including incandescent, fluorescent, and other electric-discharge-type lamps, rated as indicated in Clause 6, to be used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I, C22.1, and the National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70. 1.2 These requirements cover screw lampholders, including those intended to be mounted directly on an outlet-box, lampholders for special uses, lampholders for electric signs, and adapters that convert one lampholder size to another.
These requirements cover interlocked steel or aluminum armored cables that contain 2, 3, or 4, 14 – 1 AWG insulated circuit conductors with or without grounding conductors and are for use as Type AC Armored Cable in accordance with Article 320 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code (NEC), ANSI/NFPA 70. 1.2 These requirements cover cables for use at potentials of 600 V or less and at temperatures that are not higher than 75°C (167°F) for Type ACTH, or 90°C (194°F) for Types ACHH and ACTHH, depending upon the temperature rating of the insulated conductors used. Cables with aluminum armor are suitable only for use with connectors other than the direct-bearing set-screw type and only in alternating-current circuits.
These requirements cover panelboards to be employed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. 1.2 These requirements cover panelboards for the control and protection of electric lighting and appliance branch circuits, and power circuits, including feeder distribution panelboards. They also cover units specifically designed for panelboard assembly.
These requirements cover FITTINGS for use with cable and conduit intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I, CSA C22.1, and the Standard for Electrical Installations, NOM-001-SEDE. 1.2 These requirements cover CONDUIT LOCKNUTS, conduit BUSHINGS, metal stud BUSHINGS, CONDUIT BODIES, and entrance ELBOWS; FITTINGS for electrical metallic tubing, flexible metal conduit, intermediate metal conduit, liquid-tight flexible conduit, rigid metal conduit, and SERVICE-ENTRANCE HEADS; FITTINGS or box clamps referenced from other standards for armored cable, metal-clad cable, aluminum-sheathed cable, mineral-insulated cable, nonmetallic-sheathed cable, service-entrance cable, and tray cable, and submersible FITTINGS; FITTINGS for flexible cord, flexible nonmetallic and metallic tubing, INSULATING BUSHINGS, grips, reducing washers, and NIPPLES.
These requirements cover enclosed and open-type Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) designed for repeated limiting of transient voltage surges as specified in the standard on 50 or 60 Hz power circuits not exceeding 1000 V and for PV applications up to 1500 V dc and designated as follows: Type 1 – One port, permanently connected SPDs, except for watt-hour meter socket enclosures, intended for installation between the secondary of the service transformer and the line side of the service equipment overcurrent device, as well as the load side, including watthour meter socket enclosures and Molded Case SPDs intended to be installed without an external overcurrent protective device. Type 1 SPDs for use in PV systems can be connected between the PV array and the main service disconnect.
