This part of ISO 14064 specifies principles and requirements and provides guidance for those conducting or managing the validation and/or verification of greenhouse gas (GHG) assertions. It can be applied to organizational or GHG project quantification, including GHG quantification, monitoring and reporting carried out in accordance with ISO 14064-2. It also specifies requirements for selecting GHG validators/verifiers, establishing the level of assurance, objectives, criteria and scope, determining the validation/verification approach, assessing GHG data, information, information systems and controls, evaluating GHG assertions and preparing validation/verification statements. ISO 14064 is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of ISO 14064.
The standard specifies the requirements for the safe handling and use of refrigerants at all levels from purchasing, transporting, storage, during installation, maintenance and servicing of equipment using refrigerants, as well as end-of-life-disposal.
This CARICOM Regional Standard establishes requirements for environmental management systems (EMS) to enable tourism establishments to formulate a policy, objectives and minimum performance requirements based on best environmental management practice.
It is intended for establishments providing tourism related services that wish to implement and maintain an EMS and demonstrate such conformance.
This standard does not apply to organisations such as government ministries, regulatory departments and agencies, associations and statutory bodies that do not provide a tourism related service.
This standard specifies the information to be included on labels of all pesticides, in any form, including aerosol insecticides that are destined to be applied by end-users.
This standard does not apply to pesticides:
a) which are used as human pharmaceuticals; or
b) utilised in an industrial setting, that is, active ingredients, bulk pesticide formulations destined for reformulation, repackaging or disposal or other pesticide formulation components.
This standard does not apply to organizations such as government ministries, regulatory departments and agencies, associations and statutory bodies that do not provide a tourism related service.
