This Technical Report provides examples of EPE that represent a range of applications from simple to elaborate. They also represent a range of organizations (e.g., manufacturing and service companies; non-governmental organizations; government agencies; small medium and range enterprises; organizations with and without certified environmental management systems) and geographic locations.
This International Standard provides guidance on the establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement of an environmental management system and its coordination with other management systems. The guidelines in ISO 14004:2004 are applicable to any organization, regardless of its size, type, location or level of maturity. While the guidelines in ISO 14004:2004 are consistent with the ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system model, they are not intended to provide interpretations of the requirements of ISO 14001:2004.
This International Standard provides guidance on how to conduct an EASO through a systematic process of identifying environmental aspects and environmental issues and determining, if appropriate, their business consequences. It covers the roles and responsibilities of the parties to the assessment (the client, the assessor and the representative of the assess), and the stages of the assessment process (planning, information gathering and validation, evaluation and
reporting).
This part of ISO 14064 specifies principles and requirements at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals. It includes requirements for the design, development, management, reporting and verification of an organization’s GHG inventory. ISO 14064 is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of ISO 14064.
This part of ISO 14064 specifies principles and requirements and provides guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of activities intended to cause greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions or removal enhancements. It includes requirements for planning a GHG project, identifying and selecting GHG sources, sinks and reservoirs relevant to the project and baseline scenario, monitoring, quantifying, documenting and reporting GHG project performance and managing data quality. ISO 14064 is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of ISO 14064.
This part of ISO 14064 specifies principles and requirements and provides guidance for those conducting or managing the validation and/or verification of greenhouse gas (GHG) assertions. It can be applied to organizational or GHG project quantification, including GHG quantification, monitoring and reporting carried out in accordance with ISO 14064-2. It also specifies requirements for selecting GHG validators/verifiers, establishing the level of assurance, objectives, criteria and scope, determining the validation/verification approach, assessing GHG data, information, information systems and controls, evaluating GHG assertions and preparing validation/verification statements. ISO 14064 is GHG programme neutral. If a GHG programme is applicable, requirements of that GHG programme are additional to the requirements of ISO 14064.
This standard gives requirements for the design, location, construction, and maintenance of septic tanks. It includes methods of treatment and disposal of septic tank effluent from domestic sewage. This standard is applicable to individual housing units and institutions where the number of users does not exceed twenty (20) persons. For buildings with more than twenty (20) users an alternative treatment method should be considered with the approval from the relevant authorities.
The standard specifies the requirements for the safe handling and use of refrigerants at all levels from purchasing, transporting, storage, during installation, maintenance and servicing of equipment using refrigerants, as well as end-of-life-disposal.
This British Standard specifies
requirements for sheets of factory-made machine-welded steel fabric for the
reinforcement of concrete, manufactured from ribbed bars conforming to BS
4449:2005, or manufactured from wire conforming to BS 4482 for wrapping fabrics
D49 and D98.
NOTE 1 Where the term “bar” is used in this standard, it includes bar or recoiled product conforming to BS 4449:2005. For clarity only. It can also include wire conforming to BS 4482 for wrapping fabrics only.
This CARICOM Regional Standard establishes requirements for environmental management systems (EMS) to enable tourism establishments to formulate a policy, objectives and minimum performance requirements based on best environmental management practice.
It is intended for establishments providing tourism related services that wish to implement and maintain an EMS and demonstrate such conformance.
This standard does not apply to organisations such as government ministries, regulatory departments and agencies, associations and statutory bodies that do not provide a tourism related service.
