Standards
This standard specifies procedures for the nutrition labelling of foods. It applies to the nutrition labelling of all foods. It does not apply to foods for special dietary uses, more detailed provisions may be developed.
This International Standard describes the fundamentals of product certification and provides guidelines for understanding, developing, operating or maintaining certification schemes for products, processes and services. It is intended for use by all with an interest in product certification, and especially by certification scheme owners.
NOTE 1 In this International Standard the term “product” can also be read as “process” or “service”, except in those instances where separate provisions are stated for “processes” or “services”. Definitions of product, process and service are given in ISO/IEC 17065.
NOTE 2 The certification of products, processes and services is a third-party conformity assessment activity (see ISO/IEC 17000) carried out by product ertification bodies. The requirements for product certification bodies are specified in ISO/IEC 17065.
This document is applicable to packaged natural coconut water which is offered for sale and consumption. It applies only to coconut water which has been packaged in its natural state without the use of additives.

This standard applies to the labelling of individual packages and cartons of tobacco products intended for retail sale in the Caribbean Community. It specifies the information, the method of display of such information, the wording and presentation of health warnings to be included on the labels of retail packages of tobacco products intended to be sold in the Caribbean Community. But it does not apply to the labelling of cases of such individual packages or cartons, irrespective of sizes, provided the cases are not displayed or used at the point of sale.
This standard specifies the requirements for the labelling, packaging and testing of toys and playthings sold in Guyana, whether they are locally made or imported. This standard shall be read in conjunction with the latest version of the GYS 9-1, “Labelling of goods Part 1- General requirements”.
a) Self-ballasted compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) of voltages > 50 V;
b) Integrated light-emitting diode lamps (LEDi) for stable operations, intended for domestic and similar general lighting purposes, having a:
1) rated power up to 60 W;
2) rated voltage of > 50 V a.c up to 250 V a.c.
This standard does not apply to semi-integrated (LEDsi) and non-integrated (LEDni) light-emitting diode lamps.
— Energy efficiency ratio (EER);
— Coefficiency of peformance (COP).
This standard specifies the information to be included on labels of all pesticides, in any form, including aerosol insecticides that are destined to be applied by end-users.
This standard does not apply to pesticides:
a) which are used as human pharmaceuticals; or
b) utilised in an industrial setting, that is, active ingredients, bulk pesticide formulations destined for reformulation, repackaging or disposal or other pesticide formulation components.
This standard specifies a system of designating the sizes of clothing, the control dimensions on which the size designation is based and the method of indicating these dimensions on the label.
This standard also specifies body dimensions related to each size, as stated in Appendix A.
