This International Standard gives guideline on the design and use of environmental performance evaluation within an organization . Its applicable to all organization, regardless of type , size, location and complexity. This international Standard does not establish environmental performance levels . It is not intended for use as a specification standard for certification or registration purposes or for the establishment of any other environmental management system conformance requirements.
This document provides guidance on
auditing management systems, including the principles of auditing, managing an audit programme and conducting management system audits, as well as guidance on the evaluation of competence of individuals involved in the audit process. These activities include the individual(s) managing the audit programme, auditors and audit teams. It is applicable to all organizations that need to plan and conduct internal or external audits of management systems or manage an audit programme. The application of this document to other types of audits is possible, provided that special consideration is given to the specific competence needed.This standard specifies requirements for brewery products including beer, stout, shandy and malta; to be sold or traded in the CARICOM region.
It is not applicable to beverages that are not derived from cereals, sold under common names including the words "beer" and "ale".
EXAMPLE Ginger beer, ginger ale, root beer are not covered by this standard.
