This standard applies to the safety aspect of toys and play things intended specifically for children.

This standard specifies the general requirements for a laboratory safety management system, which will enable a laboratory to formulate a policy and objectives, taking into account legislative requirements and information about significant risks, which the laboratory can control and over which it can be expected to have an influence, to protect its employees and others, whose health and safety may be affected by the activities of the laboratory. In addition this standard specifies specific requirements for medical laboratories. This standard is applicable to any laboratory that wishes to: (a) implement, maintain and improve an Occupational Safety and Health Management System; (b) assure itself of its conformance with its stated safety policy; and (c) make s self-determination and self –declaration of conformance with this standard.

 This standard specifies the minimum requirements for VHF transmitters and receivers fitted with a 50 Ω external antenna socket or connector for use on board ships and operating in the bands between 156 and 174 MHz allocated to the maritime mobile service by the International Telecommunications Union Radio Regulations (Radio Regulations, Appendices 18 and 19).

This standard specifies the requirements for radio transmitters and receivers for the fixed and land mobile services in bands allocated within 27.41 to 960 MHz range.

This document specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance. This international standard specifies requirements for quality and competence in medical laboratories. It can be used by medical laboratories in developing their quality management systems and assessing their own competence. It can also be used for confirming or recognizing the competence of medical laboratories by laboratory customers, regulating authorities and accreditation bodies.

This British Standard specifies requirements for the construction dimensions and mechanical and electrical properties of non- armoured polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated cables for operation at voltages up to and including 450 V a.c. to earth and 750 V a.c between conductors, intended for electric power lighting and internal wiring.

These requirements cover products which are molded of insulating material and are intended to cover the outlet slots of receptacles having 1-15R and 5-15R configurations in accordance with Wiring Devices-Dimensional Specifications, ANSI/NEMA WD6.1.2 These requirements do not cover insulating devices provided to cover the unused outlets of a multi-outlet cord connector employed on a general-use cord set. The requirements for these devices are contained in the Standard for Cord Sets and Power-Supply Cords, UL 817. 1.3 These requirements do not cover receptacle closures provided as part of a flush device cover plate. These devices are covered by the requirements in the Standard for Metallic Outlet Boxes, UL 514A, or in the Standard for Nonmetallic Outlet Boxes, Flush-Mounted Boxes, and Covers, UL 514C.
