(a)               general rules of conduct concerning safety;

(b)               details for fire emergency and rescue procedures;

(c)               general laboratory techniques.

1.3              This standard does not cover hazards relating to radioactive substances.

This standard specifies the general labelling requirements for Electrical Equipment, Fittings and household electrical appliances and their detachable heating element(s) if any, offered for sale in Guyana. This Guyana Standard shall be applied for all Electrical Equipment, Fittings and household electrical appliance, should there be a standard for a particular product it shall be applied in conjunction with the labelling requirements of this standard.

It is intended for use by manufacturers in manufacturing Metric Capacity Measures thus ensuring all measures of a specified type and capacity will have the same dimensions. This Guyana Standard is a glossary which defines terms related to passenger car and commercial vehicle tyres. The standard is divided into six sections dealing respectively with general definitions, definitions related to structure, main components, tyre dimensions, service, injury and repair.

This standard specifies the requirements for new and used pneumatic passenger car tyres, along with their storage conditions. It does not apply to tyres for highway commercial vehicles.
