Standards

This standard specifies the general labelling requirements for Electrical Equipment, Fittings and household electrical appliances and their detachable heating element(s) if any, offered for sale in Guyana. This Guyana Standard shall be applied for all Electrical Equipment, Fittings and household electrical appliance, should there be a standard for a particular product it shall be applied in conjunction with the labelling requirements of this standard.

This standard specifies the requirements for labelling of brewery products to be sold in Guyana. It does not cover beverages sold under common names including the words "beer " and "ale" that are not derived from cereals (for example, ginger beer, ginger ale root beer)

This standard specifies requirements for the labelling of household chemicals sold in Guyana, whether locally made or imported, and gives a series of warning labels corresponding to the designated classes of dangerous goods as detailed in Appendix A. This standard shall be read in conjunction with GYS 9-1 :1994, “Specification for labelling of commodities - Part 1: General principles”.

This specification covers poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) pipe made in Schedule 40, 80, and 120 sizes and pressure-rated for water (see Appendix X1). Included are criteria for classifying PVC plastic pipe materials and PVC plastic pipe, a system of nomenclature for PVC plastic pipe, and requirements and test methods for materials, workmanship, dimensions, sustained pressure, burst pressure, flattening, and extrusion quality. Methods of marking are also given.

This International Standard provides guidelines beyond the requirements given in ISO 9001 in order to consider both the effectiveness and efficiency of a quality management system, and consequently the potential for improvement of the performance of an organization. This part of ISO 15489 is an implementation guide to ISO 15489-1 -1 for use by record management professional and those charged with management records in their organizations. It provides one methodology that will facilitates the implementation of ISO 15489-1 in all organization that have a need to manage their records. This standard applies to packaged natural coconut water, as defined in clause 3, which is offered for consumption. It only applies to coconut water which has been packaged in its natural state without the use of additives.
