This standard specifies the labelling requirements for furniture, when offered for sale in Guyana, whether locally manufactured or imported. It shall be read in conjunction with the latest version of GYS 9-1, “Specification for labelling of commodities - Part 1: General principles”.

This standard shall be read in conjunction with the latest edition of GYS 9-1, “Specification for labelling of commodities – Part 1 : General principles and the latest edition of GYS 9-2, “Specification for labelling of commodities – Part 2 : Labelling of pre-packaged goods.”

: This standard applies to the transport of petroleum and petroleum products by road tanker wagons licensed by the Guyana Energy Agency.
