This publication:

-                      Provides technical guidance on the storage and dispensing of petroleum products including petrol, diesel, autogas (also known as LPG) and biofuels (blends of petrol or diesel containing up to 10 % biomass derived component), used as fuels for motor vehicles, primarily at filling stations to which the general public have access.

-                      Covers civil, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical installation issues for the planning, design, construction, commissioning, modification, maintenance and decommissioning of filling stations.

-                      Provides information aimed at minimizing the risks from fire and explosion, to safety, health and to the environment.

-                      Describes good practice and certain legal requirements, particularly those applicable in the UK.

-                      Is primarily intended to be applicable to both new sites and existing sites that are modified/refurbished. The guidance should also be useful in providing a benchmark to assist the duty-holder to undertake periodic review of their risk assessment(s) required under specific legislation applying to the facilities.

-                      Provides general principles that may be applicable to other types of installation where fuels are stored and dispensed for non-retail use.

This Code of Practice specifies the methods of drying, pre-seasoning and post-seasoning treatment, storage, and the categories of moisture content for various hardwood lumber.

This Code of Practice specifies requirements for poultry meat which have not yet been treated in any way to ensure their preservation, except that it has been chilled or frozen and is intended for human consumption, whether by direct sale or through further processing. This Code of Practice applies to all establishments in which poultry is slaughtered, packed, or otherwise handled in the course of preparation, and all establishments in which poultry cuts and parts are processed, packed, or otherwise handled in the course of preparation. It also applies to conditions of transport from the establishment. This Code of Practice does not cover requirements for poultry rearing.

This Code of Practice specifies the requirements for the materials, construction, workmanship and finish employed in the manufacture of furniture such as upholstered furniture, built in furniture, craft furniture and inclusive of common types and style of furniture, manufactured internationally, now extant and what may be developed in the future.

This Code of Practice does not cover metal or metal frame furniture, plastic furniture or hospital furniture.

This Code of Practice establishes the recommendations for the hygienic preparation of packaged natural coconut water  inclusive of harvesting, processing, packaging, storing, transporting and distributing.

This Code of Practice establishes the minimum requirements for the manufacture and production of wooden craft items. The document is more focused on performance than prescriptive requirements for craft items. The Code of Practice may be applied to all wooden craft items in the manufacturing stage or at the point of sale to retailers and end consumers. It focuses on work made by individual craftspersons by hand. However, to improve efficiency and production, some craftspersons and manufacturers may employ tools, technology and other expertise to their best advantage. This Code of Practice does not apply to production techniques used solely for high volume output if such techniques: a) do not add to the overall quality and design; and b) are not performed with the skill and craftsmanship required.

This standard specifies the labelling requirements for furniture, when offered for sale in Guyana, whether locally manufactured or imported. It shall be read in conjunction with the latest version of GYS 9-1, “Specification for labelling of commodities - Part 1: General principles”.

This standard establishes specification for nutrient requirements in the rations fed to poultry. It provides guidance on Good Manufacturing Practices for the production of poultry feeds and Good on Farming Feeding Practices. It applies to the production and use of all materials designed for poultry feed and feed ingredients at all levels, whether produced industrially or on farm.
