This Guyana Standard shall be applied to all electrical equipment, fittings and electrical appliances and should therefore be a standard for a particular product. It shall be applied in conjunction with the labelling requirements of this standard.

This document specifies a method for the magnetic particle testing of ferro-magnetic steel and iron castings. It also gives acceptance criteria through severity levels defined by the nature, the area and the dimensions of the discontinuities present. This document is applicable to all ferro-magnetic castings, independent of the moulding method. A steel and iron casting is considered to be ferro-magnetic if the magnetic induction is greater than 1 T

(Tesla) for a magnetic field strength of 2,4 kA/m. This document only applies to those areas of the castings specified for testing, as well as the percentage

of castings to be tested

This Standard applies to self-contained household refrigerators and freezers designed to be installed and used in residential occupancies in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, CSA Standard C22.1, and the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.

This standard specifies attachment fused and unfused plugs (caps), shuttered receptacles (sockets) for flush surface mounting. This standard specifies requirements for two grades of unleaded gasoline in Guyana for use in motor vehicles with spark-ignition internal combustion engines. It also specifies a method for determining adulteration of premium gasoline with regular gasoline.

The standards and requirements in this document are the pre-requisite conditions for the issuance of a Technical Acceptance certificate (TAC) for television broadcasting transmitters.
